The Langdale Estate is a timeshare and hotel resort, with spa, 4 food and beverage outlets and a 16 bedroom boutique hotel, brimstone. We are looking for a new person to join our small but dedicated accounts team.
The role will cover a variety of accounting tasks, dependent on experience, such as cashiering, purchase ledger, sales ledger and credit control. You will need to be able to work as part of a team, accurately to tight deadlines. A good working knowledge of excel is essential.

Commis Chef – Terrace Restaurant
We are looking a committed Commis Chef with proven experience in a busy kitchen to join the team at Langdale. Working on the Terrace with a committed team there is opportunity to learn and develop your skills. The ability to be flexible would be an advantage, which may enable the successful candidates to experience other styles of cooking in the other kitchens on the Estate. Langdale has a strong training record and is keen to help people progress in their career.
Qualifications would be an advantage but NVQ training will be offered where appropriate. Most important is having passion & drive to help create locally sourced, quality food.

We are looking for a Sous Chef to assist with the day to day running of Purdeys Restaurant, under the guidance of the Head Chef. Working within an enthusiastic, committed team, you will ideally have experience at one rosette level, preferably two rosettes and have passion & drive to help create locally sourced, quality food as well as an eagerness to learn & develop your knowledge.
The ability to motivate, train and inspire junior members of the brigade is vitally important. As an independent operator our team thrive on the ability to work and find solutions in a creative way.

Part time Lodge Cleaner
Langdale is set in 35 acres of woodland and waterways in the heart of the Lake District. We are a timeshare and hotel resort, with spa, 4 food and beverage outlets and we’ve just opened a brand new 16 suite hotel which is beyond boutique – brimstone.
We are looking for people to help with the cleaning of our 100 timeshare lodges. Change over days are on a Friday, Saturday & Sunday. An eye for detail and a desire to do a good job is required. The ability to work to deadlines is essential as all lodges check in at 4pm.
Work is either done individually or in small teams. Previous experience would be useful but full training will be given. Hours of work are 9.30am to 4pm with 30 minutes for lunch. We can offer 1, 2 or 3 day contracts and extra work during the week may be available. These positions are permanent and transport is provided from the Kendal, Windermere & Ambleside areas.
